WHO IS TAD?

Anyone who supports the mission and values of The Allen Democrats is welcome to become a member. Whether you're a lifelong Democrat, newly engaged in politics, or simply looking for ways to become more involved in your community, we'd love to have you.

While our focus is serving the Allen community, membership is open to anyone who wants to support our mission. If you care about strengthening Democratic engagement in Allen, you're welcome here.

Texas does not have party registration. We welcome individuals who support the mission of The Allen Democrats.

Membership dues are $25 per year and $10 for students. Your membership helps support community events, educational programming, outreach efforts, volunteer resources, communications, and daily operations.

Membership dues help fund the work of The Allen Democrats, including:

• Community events
• Voter engagement and outreach
• Educational programs and candidate forums
• Volunteer recruitment and training
• Communications and technology
• Organizational operations

As TAD grows, your membership helps us expand our impact in the Allen community. Members become part of a community dedicated to civic engagement and local involvement. As a member, you can:

• Attend member meetings and events
• Vote on organizational matters as outlined in our bylaws
• Serve on committees
• Volunteer with TAD initiatives
• Help shape the future of the organization
• Connect with other Democrats in Allen

Not at all. Every member contributes in different ways. Some volunteer regularly, some attend events, some serve on committees, and others support our work simply through their membership and/or donations. Every level of involvement is appreciated

We're excited that you're interested in growing your knowledge and getting more involved. You don't have to be a member to volunteer with us, and volunteering is one of the best ways to see firsthand whether our work lines up with your goals before you decide to join.

As we continue to grow, our activities may include:

• Volunteer opportunities
• Partnerships with local organizations

The Allen Democrats does not formally endorse candidates. Our focus is on educating and engaging our community, building civic participation, and creating opportunities for neighbors to get involved in the local political process.

Absolutely. We encourage prospective members to attend a meeting or event to learn more about who we are and what we're building.
